L'Esperance Hotel, Philipsburg (Sint Maarten)

I chose L'Esperance because it was affordable, and for what I paid, it was a nice option. The rooms were very clean and spacious, which I appreciated. However, the air conditioning didn't cool the room enough, and there were minor inconveniences like a lack of bar soap and dish soap. Overall, it was a pleasant experience given the price.

L'Esperance Hotel is a charming and homely place to stay while visiting St. Maarten. The atmosphere is lovely, with a flowery patio and a nice swimming pool, and the owners really make you feel welcome. However, we did experience a leak in the toilet during our stay, which was a bit of a hassle despite their attempts to fix it. The location is quiet, which we appreciated, but it’s a bit far from the beach unless you have a car. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a few bumps along the way.

Despite these minor issues, I would definitely recommend it for budget travelers looking for comfort and value.
